I know this might be shocking to those who think the Ole Miss sororities are the only ones in the world.
Just because one Alpha Phi chapter made a raunchy video does not mean the whole National organization is crap. I mean really, talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water.
Not to mention that yall do realize your top sororities aren't the same at EVERY campus.
Saying you expect this colonization to become a chapter just like Iowa is baffling. None of you seem to have a clue how colonization works. This group will from their own identity and their own traditions.
Sounds more like the established chapters just don't want a new sorority. Period. and this is a perfect scape goat.

Not threatened by them. I'm pretty solid in my sorority and confident that tiers don't change.
I'm more afraid of what this group will do to the Panhellenic reputation of our school. Obviously their nationals cannot control their chapters.

There is no "machine" At ole miss. You are confusing us for Alabama
We don't hate alpha phi nor are we intimidated by them. We just don't think very highly of them.
We feel their nationals have problems controlling them and our alumni and parents and believe it or not even our actives are concerned. Everybody works hard at making sure our sororities are more than just a drunken group of girls.

...and now an allegation of drinking....there IS "A Machine" at Ole Miss - and it is against any group that asks collegians to think for themselves. Alpha Phi helps women to become leaders on their campuses, communities, and global village at large. This is not achieved by "helicopter" national administration, but from encouragement for each collegian to explore their potential. It is not a perfect process, but in the end the women are empowered to make better choices for their future.
THEIR future - not one dictated to them.

When you give a bunch of college students the keys to their future without guidance, they still have to ability to make poor choices! ie: the poor choices they made in the video.
We want freedom, but still rely upon the administration to help us along the way.
In college we are seeking to further our educations. This includes our activities outside the classroom as well!
Call me a nerd, but I still call my mom daily!
