Less than half of the PNMs rushing get put on the slides for my house.

Only our target girls get in the slide show. No way will we have the time to flip through 1900 slides and memorize each girls.

It's all about the connections. Actives actually make the slides of our favorites so every one else can get to know them.

We don't have girls that are under our GPA requirement. Yes girls, that's right. We don't even give you a second look cause you got a 2.5 in high school. Sorry.

We can't put nearly 2,000 girls in a PowerPoint. In the spring before rush, we start going over the most wanted legacies and the actives' favorites (aka the pnms who get invited to spring parties, etc) We're supposed to be learning the names of these girls before they even start at ole miss. In the fall before rush, we go over the wanted legacies again (we have too many to go over all of them) and the most wanted girls from certain areas. If you aren't on the radar of actives or alumni before the fall, you won't make it on these slides. We have to weed out the 2,000 girls somehow. And if you don't know an active who has pulling for you for months or an alumni who adores you, you most likely won't get a bid to a top house.

Do bottom tier houses do slide shows too? How do they get to know the girls?

I'm in a middle tier house, and we have slides of all the girls we haven't already decided we don't want (aka grade risks & girls with bad reputations). so we do go thru a lot of girls in our slides (more than a top house would), but certainly not everyone is included.
