1.) make sure you introduce yourself even if you have a name tag on. It shows good social skills. And don't forget names either

2.) don't be afraid to ask questions. It's a conversation not an interview

3.) don't brag on yourself. This is the time for them to get to know you, not your gpa and awards
4.) don't be afraid to initiate conversation. If someone doesn't immediately come up to you, go to them
5.) stay off you phone....seriously
6.) BREATHE. Don't overthink things and if you are nervous or shy or upset or whatever, don't let it show. Put on a smile :)

When you ask the active questions should they only pertain to their sorority and involvement or can you ask what they did in high school? Favorite music? Etc
