A few actives from different sororities have been commenting heart emojis on my Instagram pics all summer. Usually the hearts are in the colors of their sorority.. I never really paid attention to it because I see this occur on other pnm's pictures too. But a while ago, I had an active in one sorority text and ask if I was good friends with girls in another specific sorority that always comments on my pictures. What could this mean? I have tried to strengthen my relationships with all the actives I know over the summer so I haven't just been hanging out with girls in that one sorority

the girl who texted you is trying to see if you are close with the sorority that is commenting to see if you are wanting to pledge there. The girl who texted you's sorority won't waste time on you if they think you're committed to wanting whatever house is commenting. However, it;s pretty common knowledge that one sorority in particular leaves these comments but then cuts 3/4 of the girls they did it to, so other sororities will know that. Bottom line: tell the girls who messaged you (who must like you if she is making sure you don't get cut just for being connected to another house) that you don't know why they're doing that and aren't thinking too much of it because you really like everyone you've met so far. Don't get yourself cut before you even get to campus for appearing too interested in just one house!
