sorority friends
by: New membI'm an OOS PNM. Spefically from VA. I'm very good friends with an adpi active. Will this hurt me during rush?! Will other houses cut me if I'm obviously good friends with her?!

If you're constantly posting pics with the adpi and there are other adpi actives commenting on your pics, then houses might cut you. But if you are "top tier material," meaning you have the grades, resume, looks, rec letters, etc then top houses will try to impress you because they know most people will pick a top house over adpi.

I'm an in state pnm in the same situation. The way I see it, it's perfectly fine to be good friends with active members as long as during rush you don't put an emphasis on that friendship. Like don't try and make it known to everyone. That's even if your friend will be a part of the rush process. And if so, don't expect special treatment in public. It might be beneficial when they review you but it can't really hurt you unless you make it

Definitely agree! Make sure to clean up your social media. It would suck to be cut by others simply because you posted a lot of pics with Adpi. The only thing I'd say different would be to not worry about the whole top tier thing as much. It really doesn't matter as much as people say and it isn't something you'll brag about years after you graduate. Try to make an unbiased opinion that truly reflects how you feel and what you want. Much love❤️❤️❤️
