But for the most part, the actives will put together a list (the list your friend told you about), and the alumni will put together a list, and then the lists will be compared. Those girls on both lists will be placed on their "first" list. Those girls who only show up on one list will be placed on a "second" list. Those girls who nobody knows will be placed on a third list, based on resume and that sororities list of criteria.

When Panhellenic come and tells each sorority how many girls they have to drop after each round, names will come off the list.

Lists will get reordered throughout rush based on votes or rankings and how the girls felt about you during rounds.

Of course, no two sororities work the same, and only the rush team and advisors will know for sure how this all works.

By now most sororities will have a working list. Those lists will be reordered throughout rush, but if you friend placed you on a list, it means she recommended you for membership. Whether or not you get a bid will be determined by the order of the lists.

You may be the first name on their list, or you may be the 500th name on their list. If you are the 500th name on the list, they would have to cut 300+ girls from the list before you would receive a bid. Girls ahead of you on the list will be removed with because the sorority dropped them, or they dropped the sorority.
