they are all in competition for top pnms usually. but generally it goes
xo and ddd---for popular social girls from the nice part of jackson and other wealthy parts of the south
dg and kd---for pretty over achiever cheerleader types with great resumes
kappa and phi mu---for more party girl laid back types, still great girls but with less connections to get in the four previously mentioned
pi phi and aopi---for girls with no connections in the other houses but still great PNMs with good resumes that would be great assets to their houses
theta and adpi---they are trying to get the good girls who might be cut from the other houses but are really great girls, pretty, smart, good resumes-just didn't have the connections to get into other houses
this is ole miss and yes rush is brutal. with 1900 girls going through at least 600 will end up bid less. i didn't mean for any of the above to sound mean but its the truth!

just want to double check as i figured a previous post had typos.
this says approximately 1900 girls going thru rush at least 600 bid less where about 1300 will get a bid and to break it down simple that would be average 130 girls for each of the 10 sororities. not sure how alpha phi fits in after rush week.
a previous post said 1900 girls but it then went on to say all but 160-180 would be cut where the other approx, 1300 end up bid less and each house takes only 16-18. obviously incorrect or i may have read it wrong.
anyway, based on last year and panhell stating around 1900 registered girls is it roughly about 130 or so for each chapter get a bid leaving 600 bid less but hopefully a couple hundred of them could be alphA PI? These numbers are at least comforting.

Quota hasn't been set yet, but some are saying 170. That will only leave about 200 bid less and most of those will drop out on their own.

The first comment is accurate with the top four. But also, Chi O and DG can have the same reputation as smart, kinda hipstery girls and will fight over a few. Similarly, KD and DDD can share the reputation as entitled (in a good way) and chill and will fight over girls too.

Girls will either want chi o and dg, or tri delt and kd. Totally different personality types.

I preffed Tri Delt and DG and have 3 friends who also had those 2 left, so honestly there are all sorts of mixes at pref parties between those 4. And also TONS of girls who pref one of the 4 and then Kappa or Phi Mu.

This is correct. We all want the same girls. We may not have all heard about the same girls, but we all want those that stand out and shine.
For instance, Polly PNM is coming from Atlanta and went to high school with a tri delt, and a kd, and a pi phi. They may all want her because she is wonderful. Because she doesn't know anyone in chi o, they will likely drop her. Doesn't mean she is not special, or good enough, it's just that nobody knows her.
