pi beta phi discussion

Sorority girls are always in restaurants in Oxford, but the ONLY ones my high school daughter and I have ever heard talking about "getting smashed" were wearing Pi Phi t-shirts; not oncebut twice this past fall. Yes every group has girls that party but to loudly discuss it in public is not cool!!

Well, IF your daughter gets to go to Ole Miss, and If your daughter goes through rush, and IF she gets past the first round, suggest that Pi Phi may not be a good choice for her, AND ask her to report every possible social infraction committed by her sorority. It should keep you and her both busy.

This conversation is funny. The Mississippi mothers are un-nerved at the popularity of Pi Phi.

mothers really don't care about the popularity of Pi Phi. They may pull in top out of state girls because they are truly strong nationally but they are still near the bottom of the Mississippi girls from my town. This could change, but at this point it hasn't.

article stating that UM was actually considering limiting the number of out-of-state students being admitted each year. Honesty, you can google it and read it for yourself. Will be interesting to see what comes of this.

If MS mommas "don't care about the popularity of Pi Phi", then why are you cruzin' the Pi Phi site? AND it would just be a shame for the University of Mississippi to close its doors to the diversity that other similar major universities enjoy. Ole Miss, the state and the people have so much good to share about so many things!

"Anyone who's anybody wants to be a Pi Phi at Ole Miss!" Delta Burke from Designing Women. I love being a Pi Phi at Ole Miss! I know that each sorority has great girls and great ways to impact the community through various philanthropies and community service projects. I believe that a PNM should go where she feels the most comfortable. No matter where everyone ends up on Bid Day, each girl will be in a great sorority with a great support system of sisters. Ole Miss has great girls and great sororities! I absolutely love my sorority, and I know that anyone who goes through recruitment at Ole Miss, or anywhere else, will have a great experience and love their sisters and their exciting time as a greek young woman!
