sorority comments

Rating sororities seems so sad and silly. But pay attention to reputations as they are usally earned. The most important thing to remember is you are there for an education and sisterhood. I have friends for life that I met in my sorority.

Wish everyone would not say bad things about each other and let the freshman figure it out.

Ole Miss has 9 great sororities. Top tier is top tier. KD, Tridelt, CHI-O and DG. It has been this way for years. Great girls in all of them. Freshmen need to decide what fits them best. It is a mutual selection process.

I am going out for rush and visited all houses for Water Parties. I found everyone of them to be great girls and would be honored to in any. I found a wide variety of girls in each one, so to try and sterotype a sorority is crazy. To all fellow rushees,go where you fit in the best- don't listen to what others say-you are the one who has to be with these girls for 4 years! Good luck!!!

Listen to PNM. She seems to be more mature than some of the random sorority girls that are self posting here. Make up your own mind and don't pay attention to all of these negative postings. I myself would be suspect of all negative things being said. Look at the other pnms at prefs. That's who you will be spending the next four years with.

Let?s be honest KD and DDD have perceived Old money legacies, but who really cares. If your friendship is only based upon the value of perceived wealth, what basis it that for lifelong friendship or sisterhood. Neither KD nor DDD really gives true consideration to girls outside of Miss. I know for a fact that 3 girls from very wealthy families (Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta) were turned off by the attitude that both the KD?s and DDD exhibited at the parties by talking to only the girls from their hometown high schools. FYI --- Honey, these girls daddy?s oil money puts your daddy?s cotton nickels to shame.

oh btw- neither DDD or KD made quota. The "D" is not for delta, it is for DIRTY as in DIRTY RUSH.

Congratulations to AOII, PiPhi and Theta for strong results in September. I personally think it's healthy to have these 3 chapters showing up strong in recruiting along with the usual strength that is always expected from DDD, KD, DG, Chi Omega, Kappa Kappa Gamma and Phi Mu. Believe it or not, this is one of the things that makes the Greek Sorority system at Ole Miss as strong as it is --- none better in the entire USA, in my opinion.

DG, Chi-O, Tri-Delt are the best. KD, Phi Mu are good..KKG, Pi Phi are okay and Theta stinks

I will be attending Ole Miss next year, so I have been looking at all of the sororities. I would pledge AOPi in a minute if given a bid, they got the top girls from our school! It's pretty obvious from some of these posts that cut down other sororities that you feel competitive against the ones you are probably envious of...it's just not cool. It seems that all of the sororities have good and bad, just the way it is. I will say that I was told that AOPi is known for having the most sincere girls, and that is what I want to be a part of!
