Lets not start this talking negative about other sororities and act like you know who wrote posts AGAIN. Exactly let the Girls decide who the like and quit being so sensitive to someones OPINION. Thats all it is their OPINION! Maybe that was a freshmans honest opinion. Maybe it was a bored housewifes. Maybe it was a CHI-O since they were still #1. Or maybe it was another sororities yanking your chain knowing you would automatically bash Kappa.(two birds with one stone) Just simmer down and go practice for rush. Being so defensive makes you look insecure! Have a great rush to all the sororities!

Everyone always feel they belong to a top tier sorority and they should, but to get on here and rank every house is crazy- they are all GREAT and each PNM must decide which great house they feel the most connection with. To say your house is better than my house is just childish!

I am not a bored housewife nor am I a chi o. I have a freshman going thru who has worked very hard for grades, school involvement, etc because I told her how important it was "for her resume" for college and for rush. She has now learned that some rushees that barely had the grades to even apply for rush and have been on facebook dozens of times in pictures of very obvious intoxication and with beverages in hand are being rushed by some "top tier" sororities. I am simply saying that bad behavior is now glamorized when it used to be unacceptable. Thank you "Jersy Shore" and "Keeping up with the Kardashians"! Girls! Straighten up and be ladies again!! Good luck to everyone this week and go where your heart tells you to go.

Exactly... but these hard rushed "top girls"will flame out in a year or flunk out and will never become great or contributing members. They will also never get out of their sorority what you daughter potentially will because they won't put as much in!! So when your daughter is your age and looking back she will love her time in her sorority because she went where the girls wanted her for her potential and personality. Relax it will all be great in the end...I know people say that but it truly will if she goes with a sorority because of her heart not their so called "top tier" reputation.

Having visited this website over the past weeks, I predicted to myself that the "old timers" would start posting their "tiers" or rankings, (like ":)" below). It appears that there probably is some "padding" going on. However, its hard to get over the vast, vast number of negative remarks about sorority girls who, with Rush upon us, now wish to "overcome" the negative comments by bringing up the old tier ranking. You all are just sad. There are going to be a lot of hearts broken in the next seven days, no matter who they get cut by. AND BY THE WAY, I have been to the grove and the square enough to know that ABSOLUTELY NO SORORITY - SOUTHERN OR NOT - IS FREE FROM THE RUDE, SHAMEFUL DRUNK. You can dress her up, do her hair and nails, give her Daddy's Amex, and put Ole Miss-died-in-the-wool-Jackson, MS sorority letters all over her. She's still rude and drunk. P.N.M.s should choose the sorority they like best. I want to say "they're all good", but this site makes me wonder!

The bottom line is that most sororities already know who will be on their bid lists on bid day. You can dance around it all you want and talk about "resumes" and hard work...it is what it is. If you're not already one of the chosen you won't be on the bid list of the top tier.

is it common for a girl to rush from out of state and still get a bid?

There are houses that consist mostly of in-state girls but there are just as many that are very diverse- so I really would not let that worry me. Just do not get your heart set on a specific house, keep an open mind and you should be fine! All the houses here are awesome and you will be in for an amazing experience when you get in!
