Again, there are alums who would undoubtedly be telling their daughters, granddaughters, great-granddaughters, sisters, nieces, etc. not to pledge these groups because "they were TERRIBLE when I was here!" Yes, it's a crappy situation, but that's Ole Miss for you.

You are dead on. And actually, though is goes thoroughly against my grain to say anything in defense of the "4" MS sororities, they would naturally have more legacies who are from MS as well as their families, and they are attending the Univ. of MS. So, it stands to reason they the "4" are naturally going to take (willingly or by force) an overwhelming number of PNMs from MS. HOWEVER, the REAL RUB in the mix is how they and theirs give the impression that this somehow makes them a better, more desirable sorority OR it makes them prettier or smarter or classier or even richer. NOT! They are legends in their own closed minds and neighborhoods.

go Chi O but not any more. I saw some of them at the Katie Perry concert in Nashville. I decided that I wanted better.

keep an open mind- each house has something great to offer! Some are not really open to out of state girls but there are some that are filled with girls from all over. They are each wonderful in their own way!

You are dead on as far as the Mississippi girls thinking they are better. It is embaressing for the girls from Ms. who do not think or act like this. Mississippi is the poorest state in the country. Real money to Mississippi gilrs is a drop in the bucket for others.

There are no bad sororities at Ole Miss period. The Greek system is so strong and there are so many girls going through rush . All quality girls.

I had a great time today visiting all the houses for water parties. Every house was beautiful and the girls could not have been nicer. I felt a definate connection with some houses already, but would be proud to get a bid from any house I went to today!!

Delta Gamma got 224 pledges yesterday at Alabama. Go DG !!!
