sorority comments

i am an incoming freshman and i am planning on ruhsing in the fall, but i'm concered that i may be a grade risk and will be cut from most of the sororitys at ole miss. The requirment to rush is a 2.5 and I have a 2.8. Should I rush as a a freshman and take a risk, or rush as a sophmore when my grades are higher?

Where can I find the grade rankings for each sorority at Ole Miss? I would like to know the average of the past years and I cannot seem to find it anywhere.

@UM1234- You will have to decide for yourself if you want to rush w/a 2.8. If you know alot of girls in the different houses you might do O.K. but if you don't expect to be dropped from most houses! If you have your heart set on a specific house, you may want to wait. With your GPA you aren't going to have alot of houses to choose from in the end. Sorry!

that no sorority on here has above a 72% rank seriously shows how catty and status obsessed girls at this school are. With a greek system as strong as y'alls every sorority should have wonderful ranks and comments, instead of these ridiculous bashings. Grow up Ole Miss!

I am pretty sure that each chapter's GPA is listed on the UM Panhellenic website (at least it was last year). I think they are fairly high, but honestly not as high as those at Mississippi State (highest 3 chapters there have close to a 3.4.

Ole Miss's sorority ranks here are so messed up... Chi Omega is the only house placed about where they would be realistically.

Agree, probably just an odd coincidence though. Number 2 spot is definitely legit for Chi O.

Disagree. Jackson "old-schoolers" will just NEVER get it.

Top 3 are Tri- Delt, Chi O, and DG. Enough Said. Kappa and Phi Mu aren't half bad either.

1. Every girl feels their sorority is the best.
2. Every sorority has it's share of smart,beautiful,big,nice girls etc.
3. If PNMS will need to pick a house based on how well they feel they fit in-they will be able to tell1
4. NO SORORITY AT OLE MISS IS BAD. WE HAVE THE MOST AWESOME GREEK SCENE AROUND!!!!
