sorority comments

Just stay true to what you want to be DO NOT let others influence you decision. This is true for all PNMs-I've seen so many girls forced to pledge X sorority b/c that's what their mother was & find themselves being completely miserable. Don't let anyone make you join somewhere you are not comfortable!!!!

That's (basically) what she said.. She was just doing a very nice thing for a PNM. PNMs will learn the technicalities as they near rush week. This will all be made very clear for our babies coming through.

There are NO bad sororities here! I mean really doesn't every girls feel hers is the best-if she doesn't there must be something wrong! PNMs pick the house you feel a connection with and all will be fine!

you are right. Ole Miss is the strongest sorority and fraternity system in the south! Every sorority has great assets, all of them.

that the the sororities constantly battling their mid tier or lower tier status are the ones caring enough to rank themselves up so much and others down so much. Really shows that the bottom groups on this board really do not care and are not catty. Way to keep it classy top tier =]

Just wait and see how your comment holds up. You (& others) will be justifying some other rank order on another day. Whatever fits for the moment. When its all said and done, the "Top Tier" will send in the Mommas and Sisters, rout whomever needs routing and pump themselves up so they will look better by September. Let's face it, as strong as Ole Miss's sorority system is, there are alot of very mean and catty girls, and those qualities are genetic.

So I just graduated from High School and now I was accepted into UM, I'd like to join a sorority but I'm not really sure which one to plege to. My aunt was a KD but I'm not sure if I want to follow in her footsteps. None of these ratings are helping, so anyone want to actually help me? Please.

Just keep an open mind-contrary to this site, remember EVERY sorority here is great!!! You will be happy with whatever you choose/get. Just make sure to enjoy getting to know the girls in each house and finally pick the one you click with. You can't go wrong w/any house here!!! Have fun @rush and GOOD LUCK!
