sorority comments

Seriously! Go look at the Florida page! It's so sad. Everytime someone gives some all 5s the same person goes back and gives them all 1s. Its ridiculous! Bama's is bad too. We do not need to stoop so low as to give all 1s just to keep another group from moving ahead.

Obviously each girl must really love their sorority or they wouldn't pay the $ it cost to be in it. So why bash what each other- everyone thinks their own house is the best. Be proud of yours but don't worry about the others. Each girl is getting to experience a great sisterhood that is special to her, so why should you care about her sorority if you are not in it!!!

The best sororities....well which are the most selective, have chapters at only strong academic public and private school, have huge endowments...Kappa, Theta, Pi Phi, DG

Chi O and AOPi put chapters at second and third rate schools that the above sororites will not even consider because they do not meet their standards.

KD and AOPi are regional sororities at best.

I never knew that Northern Kentucky State, Univ. of Arkansas at Fort Smith, University of Tampa, University of Memphis and Tennessee Technological University were strong universities. Looks like DG has chapters at some second rate colleges also. Dont't act too proud DG!

Desperation! Cutting down other sororities to build up your own. I am sure NPC would be proud of this from one of it's charter members.

Pi Phi has a chapter at U of Memphis too. And Kappa and Theta both have chapters at smaller schools too. ALL sororities have smaller chapters somewhere! Why does everyone always jump on DG when it not clear which sorority the girl who wrote that is a part of?

that the two top chapters at Ole Miss, Tri Delt and Chi O, could care less about self-ranking themselves on this website. They are confident in their standing on campus!!!! This site is only for groups that need to feel good about themselves.

its not about having chapters at smaller schools...its that Kappa and Theta have chapters at elite, academic, smaller schools. They are the most selective about where they will put chapters. Hence, they are the only two that were selected to colonize at both Harvard and Yale.

Pi Phi is at Yale and DG is at Harvard though. I mean those 4 are big national sororities and have really prestigious chapters and some smaller ones. We're lucky to have all 4 here at Ole Miss.

SO as your student body grows to include LOTS of young women from places like Texas, Illinois and Missouri, etc., where major league sororities (like Pi Phi - one of the biggest, oldest and richest and founded in Illinois) prevail, the same is bound to happen on your campus. This is not saying anything bad about locals wanting into XO, DDD, DG or KD. The presumption (from some of these comments) of a foregone conclusion that all freshmen girls at Ole Miss want into XO, DDD, DG or KD, is likely incorrect, and is borne out from this year's rush.
