Okay so do I stand a chance at KKG is I dont know anyone but have 2-3 recommendations?

Yes you do! Get to know people in the fall before rush... if you aren't able to... be yourself at their parties! the better the recs and a good resume/GPA would definitely help you; keep your mind open to all of the sororities

Don't let this site freak you out. Get your recs. Don't post stupid chit online. Make an effort to meet people. Be genuinely nice to everyone. And for goodness sakes -- don't tell people which sorority you want right off the bat. Even if you've totally made up your mind. It's thoughtless and inconsiderate to ALL the sororities who put in HUGE time and effort for rush. The point is to find something you like at each house you visit.

Kappa is a great house. But don't limit yourself to only Kappa. No matter what any sorority says -- they ALWAYS want girls that every other sorority wants too. Not just the ones that are "in the bag". Don't be "that girl".

...and every time you leave a house or event say something NICE about your experience to anyone that asks "how was it"...if a member or alum or another pnm corners you about which sorority you like best say "they've all been great but I could totally see myself in this house"... some pnms won't take this advice... some may not need to... other girls won't know a soul before school starts... those pnms need to follow good advice... and things will work out...

Be open minded and don't state a preference before you even get to campus...kiss of death. strong greek system at ole miss and each chapter has something to offer.
