Do I have to send a rec to every house? Even the ones I don't want

Go ahead and get recs for all of the houses at Ole Miss. You never know which you will like during rush. Better safe than sorry if it doesn't go your way

OK, so there are chapters of beautiful women who MIGHT want to offer you a bid and be your sister, but without ever having met them, you know you won't even consider them?

How do you think you might feel when you get cut by all of the chapters that you deemed good enough for you, and you are left with NOTHING?

Nope, you should only get recs for the houses that you know you want to join PRIOR to rush. To hell with the rest of them. They couldn't possibly offer anything to you.

It depends. Definitely need one. More for in-state as it shows local support. OOS should try to get OM recs -- but if not -- then recs from family or close friends and preferably from other STRONG chapters.

When I went through rush last year I was told two for every house at least, but no more than three. Tap out all your resources for getting recs, but if you can't find a house go to your local alumni chapter's website and email the president, they'll be glad to help!

Some alumnae associations are helpful, others are entirely non responsive to ALL PNMS, especially in the North and Midwest. They practically treat their hometown girls like freaks just for asking, or laugh them off and say "oh, nobody writes recs..." They are clueless about the SEC and think that recruitment is relaxed on every campus. It is already an awkward process, nothing like being talked down to or ignored entirely.
