Saying DDD is a "rich house with girls from Jackson" is hilarious. And if you don't believe me go on to realestate listings. To get a house in a nice section in Cities in Atlanta,Houston and what not those houses are roughly around 10 million. Where as for Jackson the most expensive house is not even 2million. Nothing wrong with it but I wouldn't go calling jackson wealthy.

You poor fool. It is a simple economic lesson of supply and demand. If a builder built a house in Jackson for 10 MM no one would buy it. It is not because Jackson families could not afford it. There are families in Jackson worth 20, 30, 50MM. They live in fine homes that are 1MM +. that would rival the homes in Atlanta, Dallas in both square footage and land size. To equate the value of one's home to their overall wealth is a fools game. Have you ever heard the phrase "all hat and no cattle".

Secondly, wtf does money have to do with greek life!

Why does anyone live anywhere. ..family, business, opportunity. Some of the wealthiest people in the WORLD live in smaller towns. Does Omaha, Nebraska or Bentonville, Arkansas ring a bell? Do you think that anyone who is anything should be from Dallas or Atlanta?

GEEZ, do all of us a favor and actually THINK before you open your mouth.

Sorry, you can't buy your way into a top sorority. You have to earn your spot just like everyone else.

The only advantage money might give you is private schooling. Girls that went to private schools just look better on paper. They have been exposed to more of the world and don't have the bad influences that public schoolers have been exposed to.

Yes, crucify me, but private school kids are better prepared for both college and Greek life.

Why would you assume that ddd is all Jackson girls? Over 50% of last years pledge class came from out of state. Like Texas and Alabama and Georgia and North Carolina and Tennessee and Florida and more.

Now you lost me!!Going to private school does not make you better prepared for college or life. Graduating with a class of 84 equally sheltered and pampered kids does not prepare you for the real world. Tiny private schools cannot logistically offer as many different classes as the large public schools can because they cannot employ enough teachers for variety. Don't even get me started on how there is just as much "exposure" to bad things sometimes more because the kids have more means to be bad. You are right that private school may be better prepared for greek life because they have seen their whole life that money can buy positioned and give you a false sense of importance.

Kidding me right? Quality college preparatory private schools are not only more educationally challenging, but the teachers often have higher and more advanced degrees. My private school had 100% of its teachers holding advanced degrees. A masters degree was mandatory to teach.

We went to chapel every week, were held accountable, and towed the line. 100% of my graduating class went to college. No public school in the nation can boast the same.

The sororities on campus recognize that girls coming from private schools earn higher gpa's and present themselves well, especially in social situations. They are very sought after in the top tier. \n\n\n\n\n

Did they offer chinese, german, spanish, latin, french, italian as choices? Did they offer multitudes of higher level science and math or just the basics chemistry, physics, college algebra? And congrats on having masters degree teacher teaching you english 1, doesn't mean they are better teachers just taking the easy road teaching spoiled little brats in a cushy atmosphere. I would hope your graduating would have 100% college attendance otherwise your parents would have wasted their thousands. Doesn't mean you are excelling at a higher level in college. How many national merit finalists were in y lo ur class? How many perfect SAT scores? And we all see how much of that Chapel learning you kept with you in college, talking the talk not walking the walk.

I agree there are many positives to private schools and the can provide a quality education. But people who believe that they some how make you a better person or more desirable in life is deluded. Character and quality comes from within not from any purchased education.\n\n\n\n\nYes private

I respectfully disagree, but appreciate your opinion.

Private schoolers generally perform higher on standardized tests, have more demanding graduation requirements, more likely to have completed advanced level courses and are more likely to graduate from college and go on to more advanced degrees.

Facts.
