I'm from Texas and just finished my freshman year. I HAD SO MUCH FUN! It was a little hard making friends at first and I was a little homesick for about 3 weeks, but after rush when things quieted down, I made so many friends. I hang out with girls in my sorority and others as well. I have spent weekend with friends in Tennessee, Alabama, and Louisiana. I wouldn't trade a minute of my freshman year.

You might run into a few problems coming without knowing anyone. Keep an open mind during rush and expect some houses to drop you. But, as long as you meet all the criteria, you will find a house in the end.
