New era in ole miss sororities

by: Rankings

Unpopular Opinion that Would Be Popular in Any Sane Universe but Ole Miss and Mississippi in General Are So Resistant to Change: After this recruitment Ole Miss officially has a Big Six - XO, KD, Tri Delt, Kappa, DG, Alpha Phi (yes, Alpha Phi, they got lots of top Mississippi girls and took legacies from top houses).

Phi Mu did very well and could make it a Super Seven but six is a nice even number.

ADPi got some amazing girls who went there because they wanted to, not because they had to.

The additional three got great girls who will recruit well next year and beyond, and AXO shows that new chapters can get a foothold here which could open the door for future growth.

Bottom line - we have an AMAZING Greek system with 6-7 coveted houses and 4/5 additional houses that provide incredible opportunities to all women and are poised to keep growing.

And we do it without all the ridiculous rushtok/influencer drama that has corrupted Bama’s Greek life.\n\n\n\n\n

I agree, BUT a PNM not joining her legacy house often just means that the PNM’s mom is not insane and lets her daughter make her own decisions

Usually it means she was an OOS legacy to an OOS chapter or she has a bad reputation that would impact other future pnms from her hometown.

keep in mind most top tier houses do not want all the legacies they have or they would not be able to pick up new girls without legacy status. Alpha Phi is only one with video's promoting non chapter legacies. Odd as most Sorority Nationals have said no to legacies wanting to even the playing feel.

Hey there, APhi national greekrank advisor. What this means is that APhi took the grade risks as usual, not the 'top' pnm's. Leftovers. APhi as a national org doesn't care that their chapters are the bottom in grades and retention on every campus, just as long as they can look hot on socials. You're not fooling anyone.

This is not correct, they increased the grade requirements for this year.

Some of the alleged “Top” houses took some dawgs!!! APhi got some cuties because they wanted to be there, not because they didn’t have other options. The so called Top 5 would do themselves a favor by fishing outside the Mississippi swamp.

So which is it APhi? All the Mississippi girls love you or Mississippi girls are from the swamp? See, this is what happens when you get caught up in your own lies.

The so called "Upper Tier" traditionally picks from Mississippi and makes hard cuts for OOS pnms. They would do themselves a favor by expanding their horizons and not releasing along state lines. They always miss out on a lot of amazing girls which has made certain former "mid tier" houses stronger every year.

They pick from their suggestions made by their alumni boards and current members. In state is a bonus but not as much as 20 years ago. If y'all don't know someone active or alumni of an OM chapter, keep looking.

why is alpha phi always on greek rank trying to say they are best and why do they not understand unless your a teen boy qualities exist beyond looks seems like a shallow house- when everyone has to fit a certain mold. curious about sisterhood it creates

An active from a “top” house (not APhi) posted a selfie on instagram—I thought it was a photoshop experiment where she added herself four times. Turns out it was her and four of her sorority sisters; they literally looked exactly alike, it was so creepy, like a fake blond Stepford Wives/Kendra Scott thing.

But since this is Ole Miss and all the girls are chasing the same looks and trends, almost every house has a situation where girls all fit the same mold.

Some oos and in state girls have personalities they tend to stay off greek rank. They are not angry. Yes they made it into traditional top tier houses. They do not over try and have to hype pretending to be something they are not. Something those on greek rank promoting only one sorority will never understand. Repeating a chant does not make it right.

It’s super clear this is aphi nationals and the moms whose daughters fell through the other houses doing what they do every year on this site. It’s embarrassing.

Naw- what is super clear is that the traditional “top” houses are super jealous about how well Alpha Phi has recruited over the last 3 years and how they are trending up. Beautiful house, great girls who aren’t all Jackson Prep clones( or weird legacies), and fun socials. They have created a house where girls want to join -not because it was their only option. I know that’s hard for some of y’all to accept -but it’s the truth.
