My daughter is a A O PI pledge now. yes, amazed on the size of the class but on a campus of 26000 (I think) that's just over a 1% group within a larger campus. As in any large group, a few will be your best friends, some will be great, a smaller number will be "frenemies" and most will be in between given the day to day. Still happy she found a place at Ole Miss. Time will tell, Thank you again for all the help from this chat group over the last week.

Those numbers are the Bid Day totals plus what they needed to get to campus total. For example campus total for every house is 400. XYZ only has 200 active members. So if Bid Day total is 100 they need to have that plus a 100 quota additions to meet campus total. This probably why AOII, AXO, ADII and Pi PHI have such large numbers. Healthy chapters want to be at campus total it is important. Campus total is reset every year but honestly varies very little year to year.
I would say for DG ,Kappa and KD it was probably just quota additions that were needed to be made because of RFM this probably puts them over total.

Hi mom it’s not 1985. A lot has changed and they aren’t trying to all know each other. They form strong friendships and have strong big little relationships because of the size of the houses. They have amazing houses because of the numbers. They have more to spend on sisterhood events and more to donate to the philanthropy because of the numbers. These chapters are respected by nationals because of the numbers. Greek life is available to more because of the numbers and Ole Miss will continue to grow and flourish because of the numbers-girls won’t come or stay here if they get dropped from recruitment. Your Alma mater thrives because of these numbers.
