Wondering about COB
by: QuestionI’m a second semester sophomore this year. So in the spring I’ll be a junior. I’ve been thinking about COB and have friends in different sororities, no one on exec though. Will sororities COB any in the fall if spots are available? I figure I’ll get overlooked in the spring being a Junior because I will be graduating May 2026 (I’m on a fast track schedule).

What is your reason for wanting to join this late and for such a short time? I would suggest filling out the appropriate forms and sending a letter/resume to each president next spring and detail why you are interested in joining and see if anyone responds back with a coffee invite.

please read the other cob posts as someone has been posting about this for days and people have given good responses. they may not be responses you are open to hear. please stop by the ole miss Greek office next week and understand people are not going to care about your reasons for not going through fall recruitment. houses ae going to be most likely going to be focused on all the new members they just got. so the effort will have to be on you.

I graduated high school December 2023. And started college as a sophomore in the Spring. I didn’t think I would have enough time for a sorority but now I think I will because I’m not taking as many classes this semester as I thought I’m going to take some of the on Winter break. I didn’t go through formal recruitment because I thought my schedule would be too busy and didn’t find out about this change until after the deadline.
