Potential COB To Sorority
by: Scared COBSo I’m a sophomore this year at Ole Miss. I came here last year Spring semester. The whole rush process I knew was going to be hectic and I was told with the number of freshman coming this year, this might not be the best year to rush. I had mostly online classes so didn’t have the chance to connect with many girls. I did connect with some who are in sororities though. I’m saying all of this to ask realistically what sororities do you think will open up for COBs this year? With the number of pnms going through recruitment right now it makes me nervous. I was told not all usually open COB up but some will. I’m just trying to use my time while rush is happening to watch all of the sororities instagrams to see which one most aligns with my life and my beliefs, since they are post all of that stuff for recruitment. It would just be nice to get an idea of which ones will realistically do COBs. I’ve seen some hateful comments be made on some posts on here, and there’s no place for that on this post. If you think I should have gone through formal recruitment instead that’s great, but I cannot change the past now. So keep it to yourself!

staying in your room watching and not connecting with sorority girls is not how your get a cob. you are wasting time if your not trying to connect to girls in houses that have done cob in the past. otherwise watching chapter videos is daydreaming as this is not how the process works. the key to getting in is to have friends in houses and this far better than being a legacy. you can meet sorority girls in classes, activities, working etc. also please note cob is much harder vs fall recruitment as you have a lot less spots to fewer houses.

Not sure why this has downvotes? It’s well documented even on each sorority’s instagram that they take cobs that get initiated in the spring semester?
