Yes, but if you figure that each house has relatively the same Dec grad rate, the average number of girls that drop is 34 (note: this average excludes AXO bc they are new and unlikely to have Dec grads). If you subtract the Spring from the Fall numbers above, you can see which sororities are above or below a 34. I would like to point out that a lot (if not all) likely have higher OOS girls also have an higher drop rate. I am guessing this may influence the drop rate and I would assume more girls far from home return to a school in their home state than those attending in state. That is just a guess though.

There's a direct correlation between chapter drops and GPA if you do some easy analysis. This is true at every school.

None of these are correct for showing retention because the method is wrong.
The numbers given in the Greek reports show the END of the semester numbers, which includes that semester's new members. This means that simply calculating the difference between fall and spring total membership numbers, as the numbers above, includes both losses from fall (drops and grads) PLUS gains from COB's. So it's not a true measure of retention because it includes spring COB additions.
To get the actual number of losses from fall to spring you have to subtract out the New Members from spring. That will show how many actives were RETAINED from fall to spring before a chapter took COB. That is actual retention.
Fall Total Chapter Size - Spring Total Chapter Size - Spring New Member Class Size = Active members retained from fall.

Correct. This is just one year. The numbers only show a real pattern of retention when you can compare at least three years worth of numbers. Anyone THAT interested in cranking out those numbers?
