fraternity rush

How hard is it to get into a mid/upper mid fraternity without knowing anyone in the house? (I know this wouldn't work for big top houses like the Big 4). Would going through all the rush events be and making a good impression be enough or do you still need prior connections? Mid/Upper Mid houses like K Sig, ATO, etc.

No its really not hard at all, just make friends with some older guys when you are there. ATO is really easy to get a bid if you are likable.
