fighting over me
by: Happy
So I'll be going through sorority rush. It seems that the ddd's and the kd's are fighting over me. They are all friend requesting me and inviting me to visit and are now even wanting to hang out over the summer. I guess I'm a top rushee. What do I do over the summer to stay a top rushee? Should I play favorites and pick just one? A girl from my high school is a KD. And I really want to be a KD, but I've heard that ddd's are more popular and down to earth, so maybe I should seek out more ddd's? I'm so confused? I'm from out of state and my mother was a KD at ole miss. Should I just stick with that one? I feel that I might be losing out by passing on the ddd's.
My best friend is also going to ole miss. The ddd's and the kappas want her. Maybe even the dgs. She is going to be a rebelette next year and I'm sure the most popular sororities want her. I find it funny that the sororities are already fighting over us.

I would be concerned that you're a KD legacy. Here's the deal. The girls talking to you aren't the ones making the invite back lists. The Tri delts that are talking to you may love you and want you, but at the end of the day if the girls on the rush team think you're going KD because you're a legacy, you're gone. BUT if you reeaallyyy want Tri delt, let them know early on. I would say wait until rush though. Play it neutral for now with an open mind. But if you decide you want Tri delt, you're going to have to tell them in the rounds how happy you are to be there and how much you love it so maybe the girls you talk to can convince the committee you don't want KD

It's not dirty rushing for the sororities to make friends with pnm! The new rule this year is that the actives can actually hang out with the pnm's all summer long.
