how many girls cut ?

I don't think they publish that info. Most of the girls I know that were cut completely were either because of grades or because They got to campus and made fools of themselves. Like passing out drunk on their first night.... A lot of girls were cut from all the top houses and decided to drop out and go ADPi rather than settle for a bottom house where they knew they wouldn't fit. They publish how many girls went through rush and how many girls received bids, but they don't publish how many girls got completely cut and how many dropped out themselves.

But, for the most part, everybody who kept their options open, got a bid. All the girls I knew who got cut completely went ADPi.

Do you know how many girls got bids then? Also are there any new houses coming in '14 or '15? And is a 2.9 considered a grade risk?

Ill ballpark it for you:

Over 1200 PNMs went through formal recruitment. Houses gave out an average of 120 bids each. (I know theta gave out more, but again, I'm just ball parking). That left roughly 120 girls bid less, either by choice or because they were cut from all houses.

ADPi then colonized and gave out 306 bids, so we can assume that most girls who didn't get a bid during formal recruitment eventually joined ADPi.

There will be no new chapters colonizing this year, but alpha phi is coming the following year.

If you are not a legacy or a rush crush of one of the actives, the top houses may very well drop you after first round with a 2.9. But don't stress, because there are other houses who will take you with that gpa. You are in the "yellow" zone which means you should expect a few cuts.
