how much do brains and grades help?

by: High School

Do many students from the Honors College go through rush, and does being in the honors college matter very much for sorority rush (or fraternity rush for that matter)? Assuming a girl with no legacy and poor connections, but good grades, high ACT, Honors College, National Merit, and so forth; what are her prospects at the various houses?

If you have your recs you will do fine. If you don't know the ropes find the ole miss recruitment thread on greekchat.com and follow that advice.

Every sorority is looking for different qualities in pnm's. Some need help with their overall gpa's and a 4.0 honors student will look really good to them. Others can't win a dance competition to save their lives and a rebelette will be a dream catch. Each year sororities take stock in their active members and try to recruit pnm who will add to and balance out what they already have.

Pnm's always put way too much thought into their qualifications. Sororities are looking at the total package and will chose the girl best suited for them.

Relax and enjoy rush. You will end up exactly where you need to be.
