What do you mean by networking and meeting activities?

Also do you think this post would keep me from getting a Bid from KD or any other house? I didn't know it was a big deal to post on here and saw some other girl do the same idk how to remove the post !! And thanks for ur input

All of the top houses have already identified about 75% of the girls they will give bids too. These girls have already traveled to Oxford and met girls in the sororities and/or have grown up in Mississippi and know actives from high school, summer camps, etc. to walk into rush parties without knowing a single active would put you at a huge disadvantage no matter how much of a legacy you are. There will be at least 1300 girls going through rush (next years freshman class will be the biggest one yet). We can't possibly get to know them all! We concentrate our efforts on the girls we do know. Network, network, network! As soon as you move in, get involved in activities that will allow you to meet actives. Young life, campus crusades, yearbook, young republicans, etc. can all help! Go to the gym or church or other places that sorority girls hang out at. Make sure you get to know somebody who will go to bat for you when we are voting on who gets bids and who will not.

Actually "I'm kind of a big deal" was a real person. She pledged KD. And pretty much half the girls in KD act the same way she did. If the original poster likes to brag like that, then KD is the perfect sorority for her.

Xo is too classy to brag like that and ddd doesn't have to. Maybe DG will take her, they like to brag a lot too. Phi mu will certainly pass. Theta could use a model or two.

Okay i wasnt trying to brag and i didnt know posting on here was such a big deal. I was just giving a brief resume so girls already in a sorority at Ole Miss could tell me my chances of getting into a top teir house. I know being from the north and not knowing a soul at the school defiantly is a disadvantage and i didn't want that to completely hinder my chances at getting into my dream house and following my family's legacy. Again wasn't trying to brag, was just listing off things about me i would put on my resume, and i mean on a resume arnt you kinda suppose to brag about yourself? Im very humble in person but i just wanted an honest calculation of my chances

Yeah. I have proof. Don't make me call her out. But I will tell you she is tall and blonde and from a southern state.
