As part of her sentencing the lady is required to pay back $2.9 million but I would bet there’s about a 99.999% chance that KD never sees a penny of that money.
It’s amazing this was never caught - but a church in my hometown lost $200,000+ to embezzlement (a massive amount for a small town church) and the guy who was stealing was well known and trusted, plus there was an assumption that all the church members were good Christian folk, so no safeguards were in place to prevent theft.
