Dear actives (please read)

Hey love bugs!! Rush is coming up, and you probably remember how anxious you felt at this time as a pnm. You probably remember feelings of insecurity or fear. Now that you are an active, try to be the person you needed during recruitment. Think about the grander scheme of things and use this experience as an opportunity to be a light in freshman's life. Look beyond the surface of the pnms and see their inherent values. Give opportunities to the sweet girls who may not look exactly like you. Give opportunities to the girls who are wearing forever 21 and not just Gucci and Kendra Scott. Look beyond the instagram aesthetics. Get to know the girls for their passions and interest not just what kind of vacation home they have. Take a chance and be a light. Make decisions that you will look back on in life with joy knowing you did the right thing not the popular thing.
