Things don't change much here at ole miss. The rankings, the true rankings that aren't going to change in the near future are
DDD/XO/KD
DG
Phi Mu/Kappa
PiPhi/AOPi
Theta/ADPi
There are two separate tiers and sub tiers within each tier. The top group are all sought after and anyone with a bid to any of the top six is usually a happy girl on bid day. The bottom four usually end up with tearful girls on bid day, or truly happy girls who have found their homes with other like minded lower maintenance girls.

I'm a kappa and this is pretty accurate. I would have been happy with ANY of the top six! And as the original poster said, terribly unhappy in ANY of the bottom four. Things don't change that much on this campus. The top six might jostle and fight, but truth is that all those girls are similar. You are either a top six girl or your not. For the record, I chose kappa over KD. Best decision of my life. Obsessed with my sisters!

The OP is right. Top 6 girls are the happy ones on bid day for the most part! I'm a Phi Mu, and pretty much would've been glad to call myself one of any of the top 6! Bottom 4…..no thanks, sorry, I just didn't fit in (But some of those houses truly have great, happy girls!). And also I agree with @Kappa ! I chose Phi Mu over KD and am so incredibly happy and blessed -- again, don't get me wrong, the girls in KD are great, but everyone is going to have a house they fit with better and mine just happened to be Phi Mu. Anyways yeah, top 6!

Preach it sista! I preffed phi mu, chi o, and DG. Loved phi mu! Every girl is going to have her preference of being in one of the top six! Tri Delt, chi o, and KD are considered top, but not everybody is going to be comfortable being surrounded by barbies on a daily basis. Not that we don't all love our friends who chose those houses! Girls just need to find where they fit.
