Netflix and Aphi
by: Chill
Netflix Abercrombie and Fitch doc talks about their hiring system and it is exactly what we used in aphi. A scale that gives points for hotness and popularity. More points given to girls that cheered or danced in high school.
Most girls aren’t interested in aphi until their other options drop them so most of the bid list is filled with girls that didn’t get a high rating before or during recruitment but the numbers are needed for dues. The higher scores girls that do go aphi have grade and rep issues that got them dropped from other houses (especially if they do cheer or rebelettes and are in aphi instead of houses like DG and KD).
The rating during recruitment stays with you in the house all 4 years. Lower rated girls are treated as lower tier of membership. They don’t get posted on Instagram or make any exec positions. They are paired with other undesirables, left out of group chats and pregames and basically used for dues. That is why I dropped my sophomore year. Seeing the recruitment and being put in the room for lower ranked girls during rounds was an eye opener.
