Because they are considered old row therefore have the most history. Plus they’re considered more exclusive and competitive to get in. Must need connections. It’s dumb though

Kappa isn't considered top. Solidly middle tier, basically just all Texas girls. KD is questionable as top but some consider them top.

The short answer is they are the most exclusive, most popular girls from the nicest families.

ChiO is not top, and Kappa has never been considered top. The only thing that makes ChiO top is they have hundreds of legacies coming to Ole Miss each year. Their mommies have been telling them they are special their entire life and they believe it. Kappa is a good mid tier, but not necessarily considered special for any reason.
