Bonding with your sisters at Ole Miss is already difficult! With recruitment 6 weeks into the semester, we have already bonded with our roommates and floormates, after rush when we are all thrown into different sororities, it is really hard to start all over and bond with your pledge sisters. Crosby gave us the opportunity to bond as sophomores! I for one was really looking forward to that. With pledge classes having 120 girls, I may never get to know them all as well as I was hoping to with us all living on the same floor.

Rumor has it that next years entire sophomore classes for KD and ddd are going to be staying at the hub. I don't know about the rest. Xo will probably be living together at campus creek. Those sororities that don't require their sophomores to all live together are spreading out and grabbing leases wherever they can. Housing officials were very irresponsible for breaking this news to the girls so late! It's caused unnecessary panic and upset for the girls looking forward to living in Crosby next year. I understand freshmen need rooms to stay on campus, but they seem to be growing admissions at an irresponsible rate! Sororities historically have the highest gpa's on campus and contribute to the community way more than others. Why this group of women were just tossed out makes absolutely no sense.

Phi Mu isn't requiring the entire pledge class to live together, but are being sponsored by The Connection, and they are going to have their own building there. Some of the girls chose to spread out at random places- but those girls mainly signed leases last fall and weren't looking to live in Crosby anyways!

Totally agree. Apartments will be fun, but it won't be the same. I wish they let us know sooner about Crosby. it has been hard to get to know the pledge class.
