Aphi the sad truth
by: YuckAphi is not a well respected house anywhere in the south. They have trouble keeping members and have a really bad reputation that makes the news and makes it extremely embarrassing for graduates to have it listed on their resumes.

Oh dear, so poor Meripaislee Bailiegrayce can’t show her face back home in Horsapucky, Mississippi or Donkey Ditch, Alabama if she goes Aphi, because the locals would just be shocked, shocked!, by her sudden lack of social standing? The horror!

I'm sure APHi got some rich girls, seriously every sorority is loaded with girls from rich families. Cheerleaders are are everywhere, so that's nothing to brag about.

We don't care where our daughters pledge, we just want them to be happy. We have no stake in the ole miss greek life mom stuff. We have our own brand of crazy up here that has nothing to do with sorority rush!

Some of us understand that there is a world outside of The South, that an entire universe exists beyond the city limits of Jackson and its little suburbs.
Moreover, for the longest time basic human freedom for blacks (to name just one example) wasn’t respected anywhere in The South, so I’m not sure we should trust the region’s blanket judgments on various groups of people.

I think you think people know a lot more about fraternities and sororities than they really do, and that they put a lot more stock into that sort of thing after college. The minute one graduates those letters begin to matter less and less…

Are you kidding, Aphi? Anyone that goes home to any place where other people go to a school in the south are embarrassed to say they are aphi because it means the other houses dropped them.
