by: studious srostituteHow are the academics at Ole Miss? I know this is a Greek website but I'm thinking of transferring to Ole Miss and I already know the greek/social scene is already awesome. I've heard good things about the academic rigor of the school from alumni, but want some input from people that go there right now. Essentially: do you think you're getting a good education and that you're going to be prepared for your future career path after attending Ole Miss? Thanks y'all!

Ditto to Pleazzz! Ole Miss provides an outstanding education! Just check out the Honors College ranking according to Readers Digest. Croft, Center for Manufacturing Excellence, Patterson School of Accountancy, etc. Plus, you get to attend classes on one of the most beautiful campuses in the country and live in Oxford! I can't think of many places that are better.

.....said no ole miss student EVER! Some majors provide better opportunities than others, but all will provide you with an excellent education. Don't be fooled by the low entrance requirements, those are set by the state and are he same for every university in Mississippi. But that is where the similarities end! Ole miss recruits students from all over the country because of the quality of education they receive.
