Rebel Dr. VS Sorority Row

Is XO is so “top” why are they on rebel drive and not sorority row????I would be so embarrassed to run down rebel dr and not sorority row

Well, that sorority was the first national chapter that was established here. DG was founded in Oxford but didn’t join here till later. So probably- sorority row wasn’t sorority row back in the day when all our houses were first built?!?

Why are there girls from Jackson Academy that belong to the same sorority as girls from Jackson Prep? They aren’t in the same place and Jackson Prep is older.

This isn't a thing. Alabama has this with old row vs. new row but this has never been a distinction at Ole Miss. Really reaching to find something wrong with XO on this one.

Chi O was originally on sorority row back in the 1930s-1940s. The next house was built on Rebel drive in the 1950s as they needed to expand to host larger pledge classes and couldn't construct on the old lot. The house that Chi O tore down this year had been in use from 1955 to 2020 and was the first to be built on Rebel Drive. Nothing "embarrassing" here, just a need for more room to grow.

Chi O’s original house was where the honors college is now (which was the ADPi house after that..until they closed in the 80’s). FYI.

DG set out to bully Zeta off campus to get their land and expand. Which is a far worse legacy. KD had to build up and not out because of land contraints and size needs.

This sorority row vs rebel drive thing isn’t a thing unless you are trying to justify your own standing on campus solely on location and not quality (cough,cough…DG)

Yeah I mean if you really think sorority row vs. rebel drive is a thing based on where your house is then Phi Mu has the best location essentially overlooking the Grove. Even Sigma Gamma Rho used to be on sorority row, guess everyone just has to be used to them being top tier now.
