The top two rows have a lot of legacies to consider period which makes them more competitive during recruitment and thus harder to get into because of the numbers game. They all have smart, beautiful girls. They ALL have OOS girls. And furthermore we do not call them "srats" - please stop.

Your explanation is dead on. Recruitment is very different for instate and out of state.
HOW MS SEES IT:

(no real difference here depends on your mama and connections)
DG PM
(upper middle)
KKG PBP
(lower middle bc KKG has a party house rep and PBP has always had lots of OOS)
AOP ADPi (band and theater types are AOPi and ADPi shut down years ago)
APhi (this is considered falling through)

True! No one every talks about all the MS legacies that DDD DG and PM have too. They have been here forever.

If you are OOS don’t let the MS ranking decide for you-it doesn’t apply to you at all because when you go home no one is going to stop being your friend if you aren’t in a specific house which is the case for some MS girls.
That’s why they say they will drop of they get some houses back and not others-don’t base your ranks on their insecurities.
