That sums up the attitude of those houses and the alums writing their bid lists.
They think you are only “quality” if you come from specific high schools-they consider a lot of you as filler. They are wrong but limited in their reach and understanding of what actually amounts to quality.
The OOS members in Chi O KD and DDD literally say “I don’t have any pull in the house” They are second class unless they have ties to the “select” schools and make exec.

Welcome to Greek Life in the Deep South. Ole Miss is not an anomaly when it comes to this. All the 'top tier' sororities at schools in the Deep South with strong Greek systems work the exact same way with feeder schools, mostly in-state girls, legacies, etc. Again, nothing is wrong with the middle tier sororities at OM! They are very good and you will have a strong social life and enjoyable experience at them.

first off top tier isn't for "jackson girls".
KD is small town Missisppi, not Jackson.
DDD has more out of state than in state.
Chio has more out of state than in state.
Given that top tiers don't look past your legacy status, then yes, mid their technically pick the best girls.

They look at your high school connections and legacy. If you don’t have those, forget it

If you don’t come from one of their feeder areas/schools they have no idea how to judge you. And believe me Chi O KD and DDD are all about superficial judgment during recruitment. After recruitment KD and DDD split into cliques inside the house and some girls are completely excluded. They

Middle tier is very good at OM! But everyone still wants XO, DDD, DG & KD. Not just Jackson girls. The top pull from the best families from MS, Memphis, Birmingham, Nashville, Mobile, etc. not just Jackson.
