getting in contact

I'm from an area where Greek life is unimportant and there are very few alumnae and those I know who are alumnae are from sororities that Ole Miss doesn't have (Sigma Kappa, Gamma Phi Beta, Alpha Gamma Delta, etc) I was wondering how I could get in contact with more alumnae for recs! I've heard that you should contact "local alumnae groups" but I'm not sure what that means or how to go about doing that. This website has already been so helpful to me, I hope that y'all can answer my question!
