You know....some people have learning disabilities, some people have to work...in other words....there are many reasons people might not have fantastic grades. If you really feel that greek life is what you want and that you have a lot to offer, I say go for it. But know that some organizations will discriminate on GPA....don't worry about them.....it is their loss....join the house you feel right in, and that sees you for who you are....and can accept that we are not all perfect. Good luck.

Whatever extenuating circumstances people had in high school usually cont to college (Learning Dis.,working etc). And college is harder than high school so if someone was unable to make good grades in high school, adding greek life to their plate in college won't help. That is the simple truth, harsh as it seems some people need to focus on academics in college or they can end up back at home. Also most sororities nationals set their GPA limit and there is nothing they can do about it.
