theta encore

They were all really good. DG was the best - and they must've had some serious help with costumes and choreography - guess that's ok to do, I don't know the rules. But they were the cutest. KD was cute but hated the whole beauty contest theme. Not sure how they got 2nd. Tridelt was cute - the little bunched up "sea" in the back was the highlight - but spongebob was and odd choice. Phi Mu's theme and whole routine was "ehh" but they did a great job keeping on track when the music died (twice) Chi O was kind of dark - but had some fun moments and let a lot of girls be up front. The silver legging crew was freaky to me. LOVED the Pi Phi stomp stuff - AOPi was really cute, Theta had great dancers - missed Kappa and Adpi.

agreed KD should have won. XO was not that great,they shouldn't have placed.. They've ripped off a lot of ideas from previous theta encores.. they weren't and haven't been original the past two theta encores.. Circus.. DG's was good but it was nothing special..good tumbling and dancers but circus is a boring theme and unoriginal.

I'm a Zeta at MSU and I watched all the videos I could find on YouTube. I thought everyone did well! Here are my thoughts on the placings (unbiased as possible since y'all don't have Zeta): Obviously the best 2 were DG and KD. Since I wasn't there in person, I can't say a whole lot between them. I think DG beat KD out because they had so much variety in costumes and who was dancing, and cool tumbling/stunts. KD looked great, I liked the theme but a lot of their girls were dressed the same and it look on the video like a lot of the same girls in black dresses doing the main dances? Maybe. I liked the pauses for voiceovers, maybe it was a little Derby Days skit instead of step/dance though? Liked that it was original. 3rd should have either been Chi O or AOPi. I think Chi O got it because they had variety in costumes and were together. AOPi's dance was cute, fun, and original, but everyone was dressed the same and you could tell in group dances that it wasn't as sharp as others. These were definitely the top 4 though and I really think it was a toss up for exact placing, just my opinions!
