spring
by: oosI'm an oos student coming from the north (RI) and i will be starting spring semester (second semester). I'm looking to rush a sorority, but I know that spring rush really isn't too big at Ole Miss. Will I still be able to get a bid next fall? (I'll still be considered a freshman) How hard is it for an oos northerner to get a bid? Are there certain sororities that won't even look at me?

Spring rush isn't very existent at Ole Miss, but houses that COB (continuous open bid) will still want you. In all honesty if you wait until the fall you'll probably only be considered by the same houses that would be willing to bid you this coming spring. Meaning a lot of houses only want MS/TN/AL girls and "true" freshman, and those houses aren't exactly looking for new members in the spring anyway. Fall formal recruitment is competitive and hard especially if you don't have strong connections. Regardless of what you decided to do the houses that are looking for COB's are mostly known for their sisterhood and are accepting of oos girls. You can defiantly get a COB if you try and you will probably love wherever you end up. All houses are worth being a part of at Ole Miss.
