Alpha Phi on Blast Again

Recently Univ of Rochester Alpha Phi chapter dissented from the wickeness of APhi Intl Leadership and how they recruit heavily on looks over scholastic substance. The chapter sent an open letter to the university as the first step toward reconciliation.

The policy began with collegians at the University of Arizona chapter. If you look at Alpha Phi's e-board and those employed by the international , you will see an over abundance of women from that chapter. They brought their face house membership selection to the international organization and have been rolling it out for years.

Alpha phi, this is enough. Be like the Rochester chapter and use my inclusive recruitment standards. Judging girls based off of their race and looks will never be okay.
Ole miss CPH, look at the facts. Allowing this chapter to use this tactics is horrible and makes ole miss Greek life look bad.
To all of the Aphi trolls out there, I do not care how much you post about “how great y’all are”go look at the facts. Look at the Rochester Instagram and it is all laid out infront of you. They go into detail about all of the horrible ways aphi does recruitment.

Hey! Top tier alum here....are other houses acting like they don’t pre score girls? There are slide shows and lists of top girls to reach out to before no contact. Why else would girls comment on PNMs posts? And be serious you may not rank on looks but money is definitely a factor.

alpha phi’s best pledge class was the 2016 one (aka the variable quota law year). they had like 200 girls in their pc and because they were new on campus they took anyone who would join, meaning they had a smart, involved, diverse pledge class. after they could become slightly more selective, they only took skinny blonde girls and all the smart, involved, diverse girls dropped. now, their whole chapter just seems toxic. i hope they turn it around bc they had a good thing going at the beginning.

Also this is a national offices issue. The supposed “adults in the room” from the NO and advisors tell the women how to recruit. You cant help what other superficial 20 year olds might do personally but the guidance of their national offices should be moral.

This is so sad to me. Why are people on this thread trying to justify this? Even if this year will be different it is time for ole miss panhellenic to address this. Ranking and scoring girls based off of their looks and race will never be ok. Even if this will not be done this year, alpha phi still need repercussions for their past.

The really messed up part was Aphi was ranking girls based off of their race. I have never heard of another sorority doing this. Look at the Rochester insta and see what they said. I’m not saying what other sororities do is ok either but it’s really not acceptable to rank girls based off of their race
