So here is the deal: Girls who don't get a bid from Chi o, DDD, or KD (in no order) are lying when they say they got the house they wanted (unless they are a legacy). No girl honestly comes to Ole Miss and wants to be any of the others. It would be more accurate to explain it as if there are two rushes going on simultaneously. The first is for the top tier (Chi o, DDD, and KD) and then the second one for all the girls who got dropped from their top tier dream sororities and have had to settle for less. But good for them for putting a game face on and making the best out of it!
Also, the top tier sororities are top tiers for a reason and they proved that for each of their rounds of rush. Seriously the people saying phi mu/DG/Kappa are top tier.... Just stop already! Not everyone gets to be the best! You can just be there, like always.
And all of the out-of-state/MS girls stuff... It's no longer relevant! Just look at the actual numbers!

Honestly, this kind of narcissism permeates this site. People so absorbed in their own world that they are certain that "everyone" only wants x, y or z based on the fact that everyone in their high school friend group wants those houses, they were legacies to those chapters, and they grew up with their moms telling them that they needed to be in them. Some will even go so far as to say you might as well have not gone Greek if you have to live with the disappointment and shame of not being in their coveted chapters. They apply their little microcosm to everyone else and assume their way is the only way.

Maybe the person who started this thread is a freshman and new member to her top tier house. If she's just a few months out of high school, she might still be caught up in that popularity-obsessed world, so now she's all relieved to have made it into top tier that she has to come out here to gloat and try to make other girls feel bad. Really, her whole post is so high school. I hope she's not an active member because she's not a very classy rep. Classy sorority women (not girls) don't act this way and don't feel like they have to come out to try to remind everyone who is top.
Could be an obsessed mom, too. She's SO relieved her girl got top tier, she just can't contain herself, so now she can show her face in town and boast to all her friends. They're sick of hearing about it, though, so she wants to gloat here. How awful it would've been if daughter hadn't gotten top tier and had to "put on a game face" and "settle for less."
I don't know who started this, but what's your point? Bragging and trying to make others feel bad, that's what. Grow up, enjoy your sorority and let others
