Stop asking for Recs on FB

Stop your mom from making posts in public groups for your recs! It doesn’t do any good for complete strangers to send a rec. No one wants to recommend someone and then take the heat when they embarrass the chapter. Recs from strangers in other states will get you nowhere at OM!

This is not a big deal. If you need a recommendation for recruitment but don’t know any alum of a certain chapter, there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking on Facebook. Most women writing recommendations will ask for your resume and ask you a few questions to get to know you better. It’s totally fine to ask on Facebook

There is nothing wrong with out of state recs. Granted, if you can get an ole miss alumna to recommend you then do it. But if you can’t, please get your out of state recs anyway. It just checks a box.
