Does KD have no say in their pledge class? Can the chapter decide not to take a legacy? What kinds of things would get an instate legacy cut?

So a legacy with a scandalous past gets a bid?

If the alums are picking the PC do the other girls even know/like them? And why all the posts about in house connections? There aren’t alums in the houses.

I know for a fact that alum rec letters make all the difference for a couple certain houses. Also, knowing people in that sorority or even making friends with the girls a year before rush helps, even though you’re not supposed to do that. I know a few pnm’s who have hung out with actives they had just met not even a month before rush.

@its the truth. Alums sending in rec letters which is required for rush is completely different than alums actually writing the bid lists and not allowing house votes to count.

That’s just not true. As a former recruitment counselor I will be honest with you. Yes sororities like KD, DDD, XO, DG have a lot of rush advisors. But that is only because a lot of their alumni move stay in Oxford and volunteer to be a rush advisor. The girls IN the chapter get the final say and the chapter rush teams really get the final say. If you get into one of those houses, most likely, the entire rush team knows who you are. And I mean the in house rush team (Alabama chair, Georgia chair, Texas chair, legacy chair ect.) NOT the chapter advisors. The chapter advisors and there to make sure the process goes smoothly. If one of the advisors has a girl going through recruitment, she may tell the rush team about her but I guarantee it is the in house sisters and rush team especially who make the decisions about who gets a bid to those houses.

This is one of the dumbest posts I’ve ever read hahaha. Every sorority is essentially the same thing other than the letters

I’d say Alpha Phi is more wild and fake tan. Kappa does party a lot, but they also take a LOT of legacies.

Add to Alpha Phi: poor grades, weird mix, lower morals

I know for a fact that KD alums put a list together by the end of the summer of the girls getting in from my hometown. Girls that did zero in high school and had no friends went KD this year. It was sad.

LOOK, DDD,KD,DG and XO don't even need to rush. Those girls know they're not picking at Chapter. They don't care. They're in. They know the game. Occasionally they offer a snap, but almost NEVER to anyone outside the club.

It’s actually sad that they have no say in what girls will be in their house. How does alumns picking the pledge classes even help?? Maybe that’s why the other houses have been getting the best girls, because they’re hand picked /:
