Any of you majoring in nursing? Advice?

by:

So ole miss is my dream school and I chose to commit coming here in fall. However it’s also my dream to be a nurse . I was disappointed to find out that ole miss doesn’t have their traditional program on the Oxford campus, so after your 2 years of prerequisites you have to move to the medical campus in Jackson. Just wondering how many of you all are planning on doing this? I planned on rushing and joining a sorority, but realistically it’s looking like I can only be an active member for two years. And if you’re currently going through what’s your experience like?

i get that you're worried about only being an active for 2 years, but i know girls in mine who joined as a sophomore and are only actives until their senior year. dont worry!! just embrace the time you have with your sisters, they will help you along with your nursing journey :)

I know someone who is in nursing (she’s in my sorority) and she could only be with us for two years. It’s sad that she had to leave so soon, but just know you’ll always have a forever home<3

I joined a sorority a few years ago and did 2 years at ole miss then 2 in Jackson. It’s very sad to leave your friends and sorority but it makes the time you spend there mean more. Plus by the time your a junior I promise the super fun parts of sorority life go away and everyone else is focusing on school more. 100% rush and 100% continue to pursue nursing school! You won’t regret either (plus you can come back and still go to date parties with your friends)

I did 4+1! Undergrad degree here then accelerated program the following year so that I didn't have to leave early! UMMC has campuses in both Jackson and Oxford

Go for 4 year degree and then be a PA, skip the nursing
