fraternity rush schedule

Any idea why fraternity rush is all broken up into weekends this year? It's been the same for years, not sure why it's changed. And what does "silent" week mean - especially since you can be invited/go eat at the houses. Does it just mean you can't go out at night with the upperclassmen?

Its broken up this year to not let an entire week take up formal rush from school. This week is not silent week. Next week is. Rush Sigma Pi!
