REAL RANKINGS (with reasoning)

first off, I look at greeklife here at ole miss as best in state houses and best out of state houses. If you are in state, you probably want to end up on sorority row, but if you’re out of state you probably don’t even know the difference between sorority row and Rebel drive (there truly is none in my opinion).

IN STATE:
KD — although their house is taking a while to be redone, KD has great girls who value their sisterhood
XO — chi o’s keep to themselves, but care a ton about their philanthropy.
tri Delt — tri Delt has been top tier for a while, but has fallen off a little with their past few pledge classes. They’re still hanging on though!
DG — delta gamma has a ton of history at ole miss (it was founded here) so they’re known for being top (especially for in state girls)
Kappa — kappa has a mix of in state and out of state girls. They’re known for being on the wild side, but are very outgoing and fun to be around
Phi mu — phi mu is more in state than kappa. They are definitely the bottom of the in state sororities. They have an awesome sisterhood though!

OUT OF STATE:
Pi phi — pi phi is always known as the best out of state house. Their past pledge class was not their best, but they still have great upperclassmen. They care about their philanthropy and seem to have a great sisterhood too
Alpha Phi — alpha phi is rising! They have been for the past few years. They are known for having pretty girls and a good sisterhood
ADPI — Adpi has been struggling over the past few years. They have some great girls and a great philanthropy!
Aopi — aopi is a great house and has some really cool girls. They are at the bottom because they have not had good recruitments for the past 3 years.

Obviously there are people from everywhere in each sorority, but this is my view on greeklife at ole miss

Alpha Phi we all know you think you are top tier and you can’t stop self ranking, but you’re bottom tier. Constantly self ranking doesn’t change that.

Alpha phi you are nowhere NEAR Phi Mu or Pi Phi in grades, class, or, yes I will say it, looks.

Chi O’s are cool, but the philanthropy thing is rly not true. I have never seen any Chi O talk or post about Make A Wish, and I didn’t even know that was their philanthropy until a KD told me.

Chi-O is no longer at the top, they are more on the level of Phi Mu and Kappa. Alpha Phi is not above ADPi or AOPi.

must be a mom if you still think it's a in state vs out state debate.

top tier: ddd, xo, kd
upper mid: dg, kkg, phimu
lower mid: piphi, aphi
bottom: adpi, aopi


top tier - to get in legacy is almost required
upper mid: legacy isn't required but certainly helps
lower mid and bottom: legacy isn't required

i got into one of the sororities you listed as “top tier”, and legacy status really isn’t required. i wasn’t a legacy and didn’t have familial ties with any sorority. i just had strong connections w in house girls and alumni.

PNMs: you don’t have to be a legacy to get into a “top” sorority just reach out to people!!

clearly says "almost" required.

also if you are a pnm just "reaching out to people" at this stage of the game is way late. the non legacy are either from the same small town or really close to multiple girls (especially moms).

adpi is def in the bottom but they haven’t “struggled” the past few years. They’re recent pledge classes have been pretty good. I would say that this isn’t made by an active greek member at ole miss

it sucks that they have the reputation that they have, honestly. they have a rly cool philanthropy & it seems like they have such a sweet sisterhood. sad that they have to rely so heavily on COB because so many of their girls drop for dumb reasons. ole miss’s rush is one of the most competitive panhellenic recruitments in the entire country; ending up in a house that isn’t “top” is still impressive and important!!!
